A AMMA – Associação Alda Miranda Matheus, arose from the lack of public policies that ensured the guarantee of the rights of children and adolescents in an integrated and articulated way, mainly of non-formal education services against school shift.

The insufficiency and / or absence of public services generates violations of the population’s rights, increasingly worsening their condition of existence. Thus in 1997, the local businessman Luiz Antonio Pinto Matheus, concerned with the situation of childhood in the city, sought ways to support the population, preventing situations of social risk and ensuring their permanence in the educational system.

We started serving 50 children, and over time the demand grew and the importance of the work developed by the entity gained recognition from the public authorities and civil society. We currently serve approximately 450 children and adolescents from all neighborhoods in the municipality of Pirassununga / SP, which has an estimated population of 75,000 inhabitants. The largest number of vacancies, however, is destined to the most vulnerable neighborhoods.
