Dermilon Sterile Protective Film is a sterile moistened wipe designed to form a protective film on the skin, helping to protect against moisture, friction, and irritation resulting from the frequent removal of dressings and adhesive devices.
PURPOSE/INTENDED USE
• Protection of intact or sensitized skin in the peri-lesional region.
• Prevention and adjuvant management of moisture-associated dermatitis (MAD/MAD).
• Peristomal protection (around stomas) to support the use of plates/pouches.
• Protection against mechanical trauma resulting from changes of adhesive dressings and tapes.
• Skin protection in areas subject to friction and maceration (e.g., sacral region, folds, perineum), as per clinical evaluation.
CHARACTERISTICS
• Gentle on skin;
• Can be applied to reddened and/or abraded skin, as it does not cause burning;
• Alcohol-free formulation;
• Dries quickly after application;
• Non-cytotoxic, does not interfere with skin healing;
• Has good oxygen and vapor permeability, allowing the skin to “breathe”;
• Does not prevent application with diapers and does not interfere with absorbent compresses;
• Sterile product.
